Workflow GIF

This is the workflow I used to make Zelda/fem Link. I'm not actually showing you how I shade and stuff, it's just how I get my colors and ideas down, and then the finishing touches. (So don't freak out at step 8, you can just apply this process to your own style if you like)  

1. Sketch

2. Blocking 

3. Quick Lighting

4. Laying down colors in color layer mode

5. Adding more color in overlay

6. Darkening Shadows with Multiply

7. Curves color adjustment

8. Clean up and render 

9. More Curves

10. Texture with color variations set to soft light

11. Adding atmosphere in overlay mode 

12. Flatten layers and finish with smart sharpen filter for crisp brush strokes.
